Dakshin also offers a huge menu with many selections that are well spiced with a taste of Northern and Southern Indian dishes. A traditional atmosphere in the Highlands with authentic food makes Dakshin a favorite of many Louisvillians.

Offering fine Indian dining in the Highlands since 1999, Kashmir specializes in Northern Indian food and offers unique Indian beverages and Indian brews. On the weekends, Kashmir offers a lunch buffet with over a dozen selections to sample, including vegetarian items, curry, and a masala dish. The buffet changes weekly, so diners can always have something different. Their beautiful outdoor patio dining and friendly service is a favorite of many Louisville diners.

A great restaurant to go to if you are new to Indian dining, Shalimar offers a full menu online with content for each item to provide you with new insight to Indian cuisine. Their cuisine is prominent of Northern and Southern Indian and Punjab and offered on a full menu and through buffet selections. Vegetarian friendly items are available. Diner reviews have said the service is warm and the atmosphere is friendly for the whole family. Reservations and catering in their private dining room are available upon request.
Located on Shelbyville Road, Clay Oven is a Indian Restaurant with "the aroma of the Himalayas.” Gluten-free and Vegan friendly, the Clay Oven is available for lunch and dinner seven days a week. A full menu is offered on their website with many vegetarian options, tempting desserts, children’s menu options, rice delicacies, and Indian breads, along with many entrée options. The Bombay Grill is proud to serve North Indian and South Indian cuisine to Louisville in the heart of St. Matthews. Lunch and dinner is served weekly, with many options for vegetarians and non-vegetarians. They serve Indian beer, imported beer and fine wines to complement their cuisine. Their specialties include lamb, goat, chicken, tandoori, and Biriyanis. Catering and event reservations upon request.

Located on Goose Creek, Taj Palace offers rice, Tandoori, chicken, lamb, seafood, and vegetarian entrees. A full menu is offered online (prices are not updated) and there are vegetarian and gluten-free friendly options. Appetizers and desserts are also offered. Taj Palace offers special offers for you and friends/family and a mailing list. Reviews compliment Taj Palace on their great ambiance and service and lovely atmosphere.

Great vegetarian choices along with meat entrees are offered in this authentic Indian food establishment. Many reviews comment on the friendly atmosphere and warm and welcoming service. Buffet is offered and cuisine includes South Indian entrees, Naan & breads, Tandoori and Kababs, Chicken and Mutton dishes, and many more options.
