    Bit to Do

Seven Louisville happy hours - Monday through Sunday

In a city full of unique bars and restaurants, one would think there's no question in finding a decent happy hour or noteworthy specials.  This is true, yet they are not always advertised, so word of mouth or a list like this is helpful.  I have found that when you "like" restaurants on Facebook or follow them on Twitter, you will receive the most up to date information on their happy hours and specials.  Here is a list of some of my favorite, local watering holes broken down by the day of the week.

Monday - 60 West has $5 martinis from 4-6 pm on Mondays. Their martini list has over 60 specialty martinis that you can enjoy in the bar, restaurant or partially enclosed patio. To view a list of the other incredible drink specials throughout the week, check out the website.

Tuesday - Havana Rumba Express & Tapas Bar has $5 lime margaritas all night. These are $8 any other day of the week, and a fantastic bargain for a great quality margarita.  Don't miss out on their tapas and other drink specials on select nights of the week.  This has become one of my favorite happy hour spots.

Wednesday-  Half- priced bottles of wine night at Cafe Lou Lou has been a long time favorite of mine.  This was one of the first "Wine Down Wednesday" deals that I can recall. This special is offered all night and the only stipulation is that you must order an entree.  Looks like you will have something to wash down that carbonara!

Thursday - Tony Boombozz Taphouse in the Highlands offers "Talls for Smalls" on Thursdays.  This special includes all craft beers in a 23 oz. glass at the price of a pint.  Pair this unbeatable deal with one of their delicious pizzas or the $5 appetizer specials from 4-7 pm and 10pm -close.

Friday - At Asiatique, it's happy hour everyday, literally.  On Friday, it runs from 5-7 with choices of $2-$7 small plates and $5 cocktails.  A few of my go-to appetizers are the Goat Cheese and Crabmeat Spring rolls, the Five Spiced Shrimp and Asparagus and the Braised Pork Belly.  Try any of these or the other better than average appetizers with the infamous Asiarita, their version of a margarita martini.  Another perk is that these specials can be enjoyed at the bar and on the deck.

Saturday - Bourbon's Bistro has a happy hour everyday from 4:30 to 7.   It is rare to find great happy hours on the weekends, but stop in at the bar for a $5 Manhattan or $2 off appetizers, wine and beer.  The Roasted Garlic and Goat Cheese is an absolute must try appetizer.

Sunday- From 3-6 pm  and 9-11 pm any day of the week, you will find drink and sushi specials at Dragon King's Daughter.  From 3-6, sink your teeth into an extensive list of discounted sushi rolls, two for $8 mimosas, $3 off bottles of wine and $1 off beer and glasses of wine.  From 9-11, other specials include $10 select bottles of wine and half off hot sake.
