See the GingerBrown: Brown Hotel’s New Holiday Tradition
    Print this page

For six weeks, the Brown Hotel’s pastry team, Chef John Bettis, Zoe Benway, Shelby Cook and Janice Hedgespeth, worked on a new creation: the GingerBrown, a gingerbread house replica of the hotel that is over three feet tall.

The fanciful cookie building is now on display in the hotel’s second floor lobby, where it will remain through the holiday season, along with a two-story Christmas tree and a healthy supply of complimentary cider and hot chocolate for visitors.

As you examine the GingerBrown, look for the statue of J. Graham Brown and dog Woosem and the “Magic Corner” clock.

The Brown Hotel is located at Fourth and Broadway.

    About Kachina Shaw

A transplanted Hawkeye, I've now lived in Louisville longer than any other city. Can't live without: my husband and fur babies, coal-black coffee, peanut M&Ms, sunflowers, monthly vacations, books, walking paths, massage and a big purse.
