    Bit to Do

     Christmas Light Show

With so many Christmas activities happening around downtown and NuLu, it's nice to see a family-friendly event in the heart of South Louisville.  Waverly Hills Sanatorium (4400 Paralee Dr.,) is hosting a holiday-themed laser light show that began Saturday, December 13 and will run every night through January 4, 2015  (http://www.therealwaverlyhills.com)  The shows begin every half hour:  Saturday and Sunday starting at 6 p.m. until 9 p.m., and Monday through Friday starting at 7 p.m. until 9 p.m.

The cost of admission is $10 per carload normally; but this Friday, December 19, admission will be one nonperishable food item (canned foods, rice, peanut butter, pasta, etc) per person. The Louisville Dream Center and Waverly Hills Sanatorium are partnering together on the shows this Friday to help feed the hungry in our community.  The Louisville Dream Center has already sponsored more than 100 children with Christmas presents this season.

You can watch the show from your car, but don't be surprised if a special guest shows up! Not the typical "surprise guest" you'd expect at Waverly, of course - expect a kinder, gentler, jollier sprite.
