Rye will kick-off its series of free outdoor concerts--the "Back Porch Sessions"--Thursday, July 12th with host performers The 23 String Band. "Our music has a rock-and-roll attitude and energy with a traditional Bluegrass setup," says violinist Scott Moore. The band's music is energetic and fun and reflects the members' eclectic interests. There will also be a local special performer joining The 23 String Band, and Moore says they are excited for the collaborative opportunity.
The relaxed-meets-refined environment that Rye provides will push the session's listeners to expand their creative horizons while experiencing one of Louisville's most creative dining establishments. Rye's philosophy centers on food that is approachable but will push its customers out of their comfort zones--the Back Porch Sessions underscore this belief. Each session will challenge you to embrace all types of media and culture and gain support for Louisville's diverse and creative minds. For Thursday's session, food and alcohol will be available for purchase starting at 7 PM and the performance begins at 9 PM.
