Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., the shops and restaurants along East Market Street will host their first-ever NuLu Summer Social. The gathering will have several sidewalk sales, art exhibits, performers and other activities for guests to enjoy.
Those who bring their receipt from any of the retailers to any of the restaurants in the East Market District – including Taco Punk, Harvest and Garage Bar among others – will receive 10 percent off of their food purchase during the social, while sponsor The Comfy Cow will have many of their ice creams available. Speaking of Taco Punk, the Mexican restaurant will have a bounce house for the younger attendees prior to following their guardians to Local Speed for a scavenger hunt through NuLu.
Aside from furniture, art and other goods, pets up for adoption from Hand-in-Paw Rescue, Derby City Dog Rescue and No Kill Louisville will be available to potential pet owners at the Earth Friends Café & Coffee Bar during their Pet and Animal Awareness Fair.
More information can be found on the event’s Facebook Event page. The NuLu Summer Social is free and open to the public.
