We all remember Robocop, don’t we? The 80’s weren’t that long ago. The kick-butt action flick where Red Foreman from That 70’s Show played a villain, and our hero was half-man, half-machine…and all awesome. It was violent, cheesy, and marginally fantastic.
This weekend the crew over at The Young, Dumb, and Full of Comedy Show are going to be taking on our favorite 80’s “Shoot ‘em Up”, during The Roast of Robocop. The semi-cyborg will be joining the ranks of Y.D.F.C.’s previous roast targets, such as: Jesus Christ, Batman, and Wizard of Oz – for a hilarious night of absurdity.
Live on-stage, Louisville’s own twisted comedy genius, Adam White, will be playing the man behind the metal, while all of his “friends” take aim at him in all of his splendor. The dais will also include many of Robo’s fellow 80’s action icons, such as Riggs and Murtaugh (Mark Parris and Darren Rodgers, respectively…I hope), John McClaine (Scott Atkinson), and of course, Walker Texas Ranger (Patrick Passafiume).
The shows will be held this Friday March, 14th and Saturday March 15th at The Bard’s Town (1801 Bardstown Road), $10 ($12 at the door) shows start at 10 PM. There are still tickets available and you can buy them here.
