On July 23rd, Ariana Grande brought her Honeymoon Tour to Louisville’s KFC Yum! Center and gave us a performance to remember! At 7:30p.m., Prince Royce was ready to go and took over the stage, warming up the crowd. The crowd got louder through Prince Royce's set, screaming and jumping. Royce even brought up an ecstatic fan - he sung to her, danced with her, and gave her a rose before she left. Don't forget, Prince Royce's new album, Double Vision, comes out today!

Around 8:30p.m., Ariana Grande took to the stage, and her fans could barely control their excitement. As the lights dimmed and all musicians were in place, the crowd jumped to their feet when they saw Grande appear from an opening in the middle of the sceen/wall. Her dancers flew up from below the stage, getting 2-3 feet of air. Grande started off the concert with “Bang Bang” and lit it up with real fireworks!

Grande had a different display playing on the screen behind her for each song and set the mood for that performance. From hanging platforms to different props to various outfits, everything and everyone was on point! Grande’s voice was strong and amazing as imagined, and her energy did not stop for a second. She sung song after song, danced with her dancers, and interacted with everyone on and off stage. Grande barely took any breaks, and yet, her voice never wavered.

Everyone in the band, on the drums, on the strings, on the piano, and on the guitar, as well as the DJ were awesome, and they were having fun with the performance. The DJ was dancing with the dancers, rapping on some of the songs, and even gave us a taste of his tap dancing skills! All of Grande’s backup dancers were ridiculously talented and had awesome choreography for all of her songs- some included the use of chairs and canes. The dancing was sharp and clean.

Some of the other songs that Grande sung included: “Break Free,” “Love Me Harder,” “Best Mistake,” “Be My Baby,” "One Last Time," “Honeymoon Avenue,” and “Problem.” On several songs, they shot fireworks from around the stage, and when it came to her closing performance, they ended it with tons of confetti falling from the ceiling onto the crowd.

Everyone on stage and behind the scenes made this a concert for the books! Louisville was alive and showed the Honeymoon Tour more than enough love!
