Subscriptions for the four mainstage shows are available for $80-$290 per person, depending on the seat. Tickets for the studio series shows are $20 extra for subscribers and $25 for non-subscribers. During the season, Louisville Ballet will present the world-renowned ballet Swan Lake (Sept. 13 and 14), featuring a princess transformed into a swan and unable to find her true love.
Next, the annual Christmas production of The Brown-Forman Nutcracker (Dec. 7-22) is to delight audiences once again with the story of toy soldiers, a magical prince, and a Sugar Plum Ferry.
Another time of romance and fairies comes during La Sylphide (Feb. 21 and 22) where a fiancee in a Scottish community is whisked away by the magic of a fairy from an enchanted forest.
Last, but not least, in the mainstage shows is Complementary Voices (April 4 and 5) which features works from choreographers that aim to stretch one's belief of what dance should and could be.
The studio series will feature two shows designed to give Louisville Ballet fans and dance enthusiasts a closer look at the company and its dancers. Studio Connections (Oct. 23-26) and Choreographers' Showcase (Jan. 22-25) will take place at the Louisville Ballet studios.
