Shakespeare, a world premiere, and a returning favorite are to take Hanover College's stage during the 2012-13 theatre season.

During the 2012-13 season, Hanover College will present five shows: Catholic Girl Gun Club (October), Hagar's Children (December), God of Carnage (February 2013), Troilus and Cressida (March 2013), and Ten-Minute Plays (April 2013).  All performances will happen in Parker Auditorium, located on the Hanover College campus at 484 Ball Drive in Hanover, IN.

Tickets for each show will be $12 for adults, #10 for seniors 65 and older, $5 for children high school age and below, and free to all Hanover College students.  Tickets can be purchased through Hanover College's box office at 812-866-7110.

Hanover College opens the season with the dark comedy premiere Catholic Girl Gun Club.  Mary Ellen, the best shooter of Sister Mary's rifle team, must choose between two completely different lifestyles.  That is, while she's standing at the altar.  Catholic Girl Gun Club will take place from October 26-28.

The love theme continues with Hagar's Children, the second production.  The drama features the death of a pet lamb on the day before Christmas in an alternative home for emotionally troubled teenagers and their counselors.  Watch how the situation unfolds between December 6-8.

The adult comedy God of Carnage opens the 2013 portion of Hanover College's season.  A simple problem involving two kids forms the foundation of adults meeting and then becoming inhibited in the course of an evening.  God of Carnage runs February 15-17.

Shakespeare's Troilus and Cressida finishes out the mainstage Hanover College season.  Two lovers attempt to have a relationship while their Middle Eastern surroundings constantly change due to war.  Troilus and Cressida runs March 28-30.

Finally, Hanover College will presents its annual Ten-Minute Plays.  The plays come straight from Hanover's playwriting class, while Hanover's directing class students direct each production.  The event takes place on April 5 and 6.
