Frankenstein, a Salesman, and Christmas Belles are Stopping the World during the Moonlight at Clarksville Little Theatre during the 2013-14 theatre season.
Clarksville Little Theatre's talent will take to the stage during the upcoming season in five shows: Young Frankenstein (Sept.), Christmas Belles (Nov.), Escanaba in da Moonlight (Jan. 2014), Death of a Salesman (March 2014), and Stop the World...I Want to Get Off (May 2014). All performances will happen at the theatre, located at 301 E Montgomery St. in Clarksville, IN.
Season tickets are available for the 2013-14 and can be reserved at the Clarksville Little Theatre website.
Individual show tickets, meanwhile, will face a slight increase to $17 per adult, $14 for seniors 60 and over, $14 for teens 13-18, and $10 for children 6-12 years of age.
Clarksville Little Theatre will open up the 2013-14 season with Young Frankenstein, a Mel Brooks spoof of Frankenstein re-imagined for the stage. Young Frankenstein will come to life September 13-21.
Next, Christmas Belles will bring the festivities and chaos of the Futrelle sisters to the stage. Of course, with that chaos being everything from saving a tabernacle to burning half of a town, anything could happen. Christmas Belles will be performed from November 15-23.
The opening shot of 2014 for CLT is Escanaba in da Moonlight, which features a family member trying to escape the reputation of not being able to claim a deer during hunting season. The humourous hunting season tale runs January 17-25.
The contemplative, classic Death of a Salesman will follow next, featuring a salesman who tries to discover what happened while going for success and the "American dream". Death of a Salesman takes place from March 14-22.
Continuing the "success" theme, CLT will last present Stop the World...I Want to Get Off, focusing on Littlechap's journey through dissatisfaction in his marriage, temporary satisfaction with other women, and timely lessons learned. Stop the World...I Want to Get Off runs from May 9-17.
More information on all the above shows can be found at the Clarksville Little Theatre website.
