Breast Cancer is the number one concern in women’s health – such a universal concern among women and the men that love them – that we devoted the entire month of October, every year to raising Breast Cancer Awareness.  And for the 11th year in a row Hard Rock Café and 102.3 The Max are teaming up to put on their annual concert event Pinktober.

Pinktober has been one of the most successful local events, having raised over $100,000 in total for Susan G. Komen.  A litany of national acts of crossed the Pinktober stage over the years, including (but certainly not limited to) American Authors, Alex Brand of The Calling, Phillip Phillips, Christina Perri, Crystal Bowersocks, and Marc Broussard.

This year Hard Rock Café and 102.3 The Max are once again bringing you a killer event to raise more money for Breast Cancer Awareness.  On top of live music from Switchfoot (“Meant to Live” and “Dare You to Move”), Andy Grammer (“Keep Your Head Up” and “Fine By Me”), Katy Tiz (“The Big Bang”), and Alex & Sierra (winners of Fox’s The X-Factor and singer of the single “Scarecrow”).

On top of all the live music the night will feature food and drink, all of your favorite radio personalities from 102.3 The Max, free airbrushed tattoos, plus a live and silent auction with awesome items for you to take home.  This year’s auction will include autographed guitars, a planned party at Flannigan’s, a diamond necklace, and lots more.

There are tickets still available for the event tonight.  It will be at held at Hard Rock Café on 4th Street Live tonight from 7 PM – 11 PM.  You can buy here or at the door when you show up tonight.  There is no reason not to come down and rock out for an amazing cause!

    About Brent Owen

Born and raised in Louisville, I have lived here most of my life (except during a short furlough, when I, lovelorn and naive, followed a girl to Baton Rouge). My roots are here, my family, my friends, and my life are all here. I work primarily as a free-lance writer for a few local and regional publications. I have also written two books (one a memoir, the other a novel) that barring some divine intervention, will probably never see the light of day. I find myself deeply ingrained in the local bar scene, or perhaps better said, I often indulge in the local drinking culture. I love music, movies, comedy, and really just about any other live performance art.
