Will Wolford Goes Back To School
With Seven State Championships I think it’s fair to say that St. Xavier’s current head coach, Mike Glaser has found ample success in over thirty years of leading the Tiger’s, but set to replace him after he announced his retirement, none other than Will Wolford, who’s been highlighted previously as a sports legend of the Ville.
After graduating from St. X Wolford went on to suit up with the Vanderbilt Commodores, this eventually leading to an impressive NFL career spending time with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Indianapolis Colts, and Buffalo Bills, more recently Wolford led the Derby City’s arena football team, Louisville Fire, in the AF2 league.
Remarking on his love of coaching, previously working as an assistant coach at St. X Wolford will pick up the pigskin reigns next year after Glaser’s official departure.

Look out for Cobb and Dumervil
I would like to briefly spotlight a Wildcat and Cardinal who are currently up and comers in the NFL, these are guys who I would be looking out for.
From Kentucky Randall Cobb, who has proven himself a versatile player for the Green Bay Packers. Cobb’s biggest plays have come from his kickoff returns, but with the added experience that he gained last season I look for Aaron Rodgers to be looking his way more this year.
From Louisville, Elvis Dumervil in Denver, now the massive shake up at the quarterback position has been made very public with Peyton Manning suiting up in the Mile High City but the defense has been constant. And, certainly a major part of that is Dumervil, and as far as this fan can tell this guy is just hitting his stride.
All in all, I am without question ready for some football.
