This Saturday, December 7, Nutcracker in a Nutshell takes the stage at the legendary Louisville Palace Theater. The show is a simpler, shorter version of the classic story and ballet The Nutcracker. This show is a perfect fit for families with younger children and children of all ages. I was to attend the school performance this morning, but was informed that the show has been cancelled due to the inclement weather. The show is ON for tomorrow. In speaking with the show's marketing and PR coordinator, Marie Gould, she encouraged me to even bring my 2-year-old along to the show. The show is extremely family-friendly and has so much lively, action-driven experiences on stage that even the youngest of children will be "spellbound."

The performance is 1 hour in length and this weekend’s public shows are December 7 at 2pm and 7pm. Nutcracker in a Nutshell showcases the talent of children who participate in MAGIC (Making Art Grow in Children). The Louisville Palace is located at 625 S. Fourth Street. Be sure to add this festive show to your family’s list of what to do this holiday season.

Tickets are $20.00 and $17.50. For more ticket information click here.
