Veteran Louisville Chef Anoosh Shariat opens Noosh Nosh May 23 at 4816 Brownsboro Road (the same shopping complex as Shariat's Anoosh Bistro). Noosh Nosh's menus for breakfast, lunch and dinner are attached below: the food is Mediterranean-inspired and largely focuses on snacky, shareable plates: sandwiches, flatbreads, pizza, wings, pasta.

The crown jewel of Noosh Nosh has to be the giant, glittery, red-tiled oven behind the bar, but the scaled pizza peel wall decor is a lovely touch. Louisville.com got a sneak peek of Noosh Nosh's menu last week. Here's what you should order:

If you're visiting for breakfast try the prosciutto crepe with figs and gorgonzola ($11) or the curried Tofu Florentine ($10). Chef Shariat is known for creative and tasty vegetarian dishes; it's nice to see lots of non-meat options on these menus.

For lunch or dinner, start with cheese and charcuterie (prices vary depending on order) and the sweet & spicy wings ($9) with smoked honey Sriracha. The fried calamari ($11) with lemon aioli is a flavorful take on the appetizer staple.

For sharing, or for a light snack, try the Thai chicken skewers ($7) and the black bean cakes with cashew aioli ($11).

Order the Iberico salami pizza ($10) or the Paneer pizza ($11), for an extra $2 they can be made gluten free. See if you can taste the difference that big glittery red oven makes in the pizza crust: a smoky aftertaste, perfectly crisp crust, crackling bubbles of cheese.

Finish your meal with the gelato, made fresh in-house. Selections will vary daily: we tried the white peach: delicate, floral and silky-smooth.

Noosh Nosh opens today, May 23, at 4816 Brownsboro Road. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served daily 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday ; 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday; and 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday. Visit the restaurant on FacebookInstagram or on the website.
