Have a late night craving for a burrito? No worries. Nate Sturdevant and Matt Filip are at your service slinging burritos in the Germantown area from midnight to 4 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights.
Sturdevant and Filip launched New Wave Burritos over the weekend operating out of Eiderdown’s kitchen. They are a delivery service concentrating in Germantown only, delivering burritos to your home or local business establishment. But there are plans to expand to Old Louisville and the Highlands as they grow.
What’s on the menu? New Wave has four burrito choices. The Basher is a coconut adobo braised pork with fajita vegetables, Monterey Jack cheese, scallions, black beans and rice. The Clive has poblano corn relish, guacamole, tomatillo salsa, cotija cheese, scallions, black beans and rice. The Garbage Burrito comes with taco spiced ground beef, queso, black beans and rice. The Tourist has ancho roasted chicken with fajita vegetables, black beans and rice. All the burritos are priced at $9.
Those of you who had the opportunity to taste the burritos this fall at Resurfaced know they are delicious. So anyone living in the Germantown area, this weekend would be a great time to throw a burrito party. The rest of us will expect an invite.
