The seemingly unstoppable trio of Fernando, Christina and Yaniel Martinez  are opening yet another restaurant, this time in the Highlands. These are the people behind the wildly popular Guaca Mole, Mussel & Burger Bar, and the upcoming high-end restaurant in Mussel & Burger Bar's basement.

The new restaurant, called  "El Taco Luchador Mexican Taqueria" will be opening where the Lil' Cheezer's Restaurant used to be located, at 938 Baxter Avenue. According to a facebook post made by Guaca Mole, El Taco Luchador Mexican Taqueria will be open for lunch and dinner. According to the same facebook post, a taco truck is in the works as well.

If anyone can make this work, Fernando Martinez can, but the recently opened El Camino (located in the space that used to be Avalon on Bardstown Road) has a menu heavy with tacos, guacamole, and artisan margaritas. El Mundo on Frankfort Avenue is very close and has very good Tex-Mex. The people behind Wild Eggs are opening Wild Rita's on East Market Street, a mid-price range Mexican tequila bar.

Can this town hold another upscale Mexican restaurant?

UPDATE: according to another facebook post by Guaca Mole, "El Taco Luchador Mexican Taqueria" should be opening the second or third week of December.
