I have been to Zazoo's many different times throughout the past couple of years, and never have I seen it as busy as it was last Friday. The evening was kicked off by local artist, Lazy Sundays.  I had the privilege of sharing the stage with these guys at Zazoo's a couple months back, and man, they were excellent then and they were even better on Friday. Being amongst Louisville's ever expanding music scene, one of the coolest things to witness is the growth and development of all it's talented people, one of which very much includes Lazy Sundays. Chatting with the guys before the show, they talked with me about all the man hours they had put forth in preparation for the show. Their Reggie/Rock feel meshed beautifully with the vibes of the evening as everyone began to order drinks and dance along in anticipation of Moon Taxi's performance.

It was quite a privilege to catch these guys as they were making their way up to Richmond, Kentucky to headline at the first annual Jubilo Music Fest. Moon Taxi has been on the road for some months now and arrived at Zazoo's early evening where I got to catch the majority of  their sound check.  It was cool to see just how much care these guys put into every detail of their live performances. As they began to play, a wall of people erupted, taking up the entire space between the stage and sound booth.  The songs were rich with catchy melodies, and upbeat enough to keep the crowd rolling. The overall experience was again excellent. Zazoo's is one of my top favorite venues in town and it has a lot to do in part to the skills of their sound engineers and great staff who shouldn't go without being praised. The closest show to Louisville Moon Taxi has before their tour continues to take them south will be at the Starry Night Music Festival September 29th in Bowling Green, Kentucky.  Check these guys out. Their a blast.
