King Arthur and his knights probably never imagined a journey like this. Mind's Eye Theatre Company will present Monty Python's Spamalot starting this weekend.
Monty Python's Spamalot will take place on Feb. 7-9 and 13-15 at 8 p.m. each night. A matinee will occur on Feb. 16 at 2 p.m. All performances are to happen at Mex Theater, located inside the Kentucky Center for the Arts at 501 West Main Street in downtown Louisville.
Tickets for each show are $16 per person. All tickets, if still available, can be purchased at the Kentucky Center box office, the Kentucky Center website, or by calling the Kentucky Center box office at 1-800-775-7777. Keep in mind that some shows have already sold out.
King Arthur and his knights are on the hunt for the holy grail in Monty Python's Spamalot. Fans of Monty Python and the Holy Grail will see plenty of similarities between the play and the movie. Fans of musicals may enjoy the comedic songs like The Song That Goes Like This, You Won't Succeed on Broadway, and Whatever Happened to My Part.
Monty Python's Spamalot features many veterans of the Louisville theatre scene, including: Greg Collier, Josh O'Brien, Jeff Ketterman, Brian Morris, Dan Canon, Chris Meier, Daniel Smith, Carrie Cooke Ketterman, Craig Nolan Highley, Jeff Mangum, Jake Minton, Howard Whitman, Valerie Canon, Susan Crocker, Mary Stuart Peace, Charlotte Boyd, Mary Rose Pinotti, and Katie Hay. Janet Morris directed the show, Kim Stover Hartz provided musical direction, and Kathy Todd Chaney provided choreography.
