Local DJ for 91.9 WFPK Radio Louisville Matt Anthony is moving his locally owned and operated Matt Anthony’s Record Shop from Butchertown to Crescent Hill. Neighbor Paul Wheeldon’s Second Hand Books will be joining the record shop for a grand reopening of their businesses as a joined force.

Matt Anthony’s Record Shop will be moving to 2354 Frankfort Avenue and the grand opening will be on January 17th. The last day in their current location at 943 Franklin Avenue will be January 14th, according to the record shop’s Facebook page.

As reported by Leoweekly.com, Anthony said his and Wheeldon’s stores “compliment each other quite nicely and will fit snugly in the Crescent Hill neighborhood. With a strong point of difference, the two look not to compete with the other book and record shops on Frankfort Ave. but create a comprehensive shopping experience for lovers of the arts.”

Matt Anthony spends his Friday nights walking the listeners of 91.9 WFPK through “the great urban centers of the world” with Reggae, Soul, Punk, Hip-Hop, Latin, Jazz and Afro-Funk with The Sound Clash. On Sundays he hosts Jazz Pulse, as he explores the Jazz Spectrum from New Orleans classics. You can find his bio on WFPK's website.
