As life grows more difficult, the deeper the economy dives, and the hurt cuts harder, the more music is needed. Music is our collective experiences, celebrations and sorrows. The Drive-By Truckers (DBT) http://www.drivebytruckers.com helps deliver these stories and give to the listener new memory paths of sound and soul. The music of DBT will be in Louisville on Thursday, February 9, 2012 at Headliners Music Hall http://headlinerslouisville.com.
The DBT bring light to defiance and order to chaos. Their story telling tradition is music is continued with their latest release, "Go Go Boots." The album contains stories from the darker side of life to personal memoirs. The DBT give listeners an escape from life's reality and a moment to breathe.
The DBT sound is one that has been influenced and created from the Southern tradition of rebellion mixed with Soul, Rock and Rhythm and Blues. Their sound is uniquely country fried blues. The singer/ song writers of DBT, Patterson Hood, and Mike Cooley have a different sound and feel with a collective energy. They own their spin on today's strife.
