Mary Poppins brings its timeless story to town this week for the Louisville debut.
The stage show coming to Louisville encompasses the famous movie, with the songs beloved by all fans, as well as some new music and story details taken from the books by P.L. Travers, upon which the movie is based.
But have no fear; songs such as “Feed the Birds,” “Chim Chim Cher-ee,” and “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious” are still in the mix.
Mary Poppins brings favorable reviews with it to Louisville. Says Variety Magazine, “This is the rare touring production that over-delivers on every level!”
Mary Poppins runs Tuesday, March 13 through Sunday, March 18 with 8 performances. Tickets start at $32.75 and can be purchased online or by calling the box office at 502-584-7777. The show is suitable for children, but runs 2 hours 45 minutes with one intermission.
Be advised that due to NCAA tournament play, the area around the Yum! Center and Kentucky Center will have extra congestion from Thursday through Saturday.
