    Bit to Do

For National Dance Day, You’re on Stage at Kentucky Center
    Print this page

Saturday, July 27, you can dance your butt off on stage in The Kentucky Center’s Whitney Hall. Yes, you’ll be up there.

For the last few years, the Dizzy Feet Foundation has created dance routines for a National Dance Day the last Saturday in July, to promote dance as a healthful and fun activity for everyone.

This year, So You Think You Can Dance is involved, and helped create two routines: Nigel Lythgoe and Adam Shankman created the Everybody Dance routine, and Napoleon and Tabitha D’Umo created a Hip Hop Master Class routine for more advanced dancers.

All that is left for you to do is check out the videos, learn one or both routines, and show up at the Kentucky Center on July 27. The program runs from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and all are welcome. No tickets or RSVP are needed.

My recommendation: Wear a cute outfit because this is an event begging for lots of media coverage and you don’t want to look like a schlub up there. Make an impression!

    About Kachina Shaw

A transplanted Hawkeye, I've now lived in Louisville longer than any other city. Can't live without: my husband and fur babies, coal-black coffee, peanut M&Ms, sunflowers, monthly vacations, books, walking paths, massage and a big purse.
