    Bit to Do

As you sit and make your candy-gathering schedule for this weekend (Don’t act like you don’t know what I am talking about…), don’t forget to pencil in a stop at your Shelbyville Road malls on Sunday afternoon.

Both Oxmoor Center and Mall St. Matthews will be arming their storefronts and security guards (seriously!) with candy for the kiddos from 4-6pm on October 31st. They specifically intend to invite “children” in “costume,” but definitions of both of those terms are pretty flexible in this guy’s opinion.

Plus, the mall setting is a perfect cover for me to dig into my toddler’s stash. We send mom out to shop for a few minutes, dad and kid make the rounds, and when kid is distracted by something shiny or some older kid dressed as Cinderella, dad makes a grab for all the Tootsie Rolls. No one is harmed (except my molars) and dad looks like a hero for letting mom take a break. I am kind of a genius. Just sayin…
