Clarksville Little Theatre provides a chance to laugh during tax season with the production Love, Sex, and the IRS, which opens Friday.
Love, Sex, and the IRS will take place on Mar. 15, 16, 21, 22, and 23 at 8 p.m. each night. A matinee, meanwhile, will occur on Mar. 17 at 2 p.m. All performances will happen at Clarksville Little Theatre, located at 301 E. Montgomery in Clarksville, IN.
Tickets for each show are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors 60 and over, $12 for teens 13-18, and $8 for children. TIckets can be purchased at the door or reserved at the Clarksville Little Theatre website.
Love, Sex, and the IRS tells the tale of one "married" couple's attempt to get past the IRS. Jon and Leslie, unemployed musicians, are living together but not married. Yet, they file taxes that way. The IRS, however, decides to audit the "couple", forcing them to act like one. Mistaken identities, comedic lines, and a host of mishaps are set to happen.
Billy Van Zandt and Jane Milmore created Love, Sex, and the IRS, which Alan Weller directed for Clarksville Little Theatre.
Following this production, Clarksville Little Theatre will present The Wedding Singer. That musical will finish CLT's theatre season in May.
