    The Repertory Orchestra (Richard Ryan, Conductor), Concert Orchestra (Chris Lerner, Conductor), Serenade Orchestra (Elise Kotheimer Gambrell), Percussion Ensemble (Mark Tate, Coach) and Horizons Ensembles (Donna Parkes and Dennis Robinson, Coaches) of the Louisville Youth Orchestra will present “Stringing in the Holidays” on Sunday,  December 12, 2010 at the Youth Performing Arts School located at 1517 South Second Street.

    These ensembles will perform a variety of holiday musical classics as well as some twists on seasonal favorites. The concert will begin at 4:00 PM. Ticket prices are $13.50 for adults, $10.00 for senior citizens, $5.00 for students with a valid ID. Children under school age are free.

    The Louisville Youth Orchestra offers instruction for beginning to pre-professional orchestral players. Any student under age 21 who plays an orchestral instrument is welcome to audition. To apply for admission please contact Melody Welsh-Buchholz at 502-896-1851 or log on to the LYO website.
