Every couple of months or so, the Louisville Tea Company holds a tea tasting party, when you can pull up to the tea bar and learn about teas in a non-threatening environment. If you are unsure, as I usually am, whether you are committing any type of faux pas by pairing a certain tea with a certain type of food, or wonder about how long different tea types should be steeped, you can find out all that and more at the party.
The next tea tasting party is December 5, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. All the holiday teas will be freshly brewed and available for tasting, and you can purchase them for 20 percent off, as well. Other deals during the party include 10 percent off purchases of $50 or more. The shop has a great selection of the cutest tea cup and sets, strainers and fun kitchen and decorative items. Of course, tea and tea-based treats and even skin care are all good gift ideas.
Live string music and refreshments will accompany the tea tasting.
