    • "Two Jefferson County Public Schools principals have been suspended following transportation problems on the first day of classes Tuesday. District officials say the principals at King and Lincoln elementary did not properly prepare tags for their students. This is the first year for the tags, which display bus numbers and school names and were to be given to all bus-riding elementary students. But Superintendent Sheldon Berman says tags were either incorrect or printed late for students at King and Lincoln. That caused confusion and delays. About 400 students arrived home hours after they were supposed to, and the last students were dropped off around 9 pm." [WFPL]
    • "Despite earlier reports that the plan has been abandoned, Kroger is moving forward in its initiative to construct a five-pump gas station at the Hollywood Video site south of its store at 2410 Bardstown Road." [Louisville.com]
    • "James Mikesell, a former Metro Corrections officer and Jefferson County Public Schools coach, pleaded guilty to second-degree sexual abuse, tampering with physical evidence and official misconduct at a pre-trial conference on Monday." [Courier-Journal]
    • "A group had wanted to build a CVS drugstore at the corner of Bardstown Road and Douglass, where the Twig and Leaf diner now stands. But according to a Louisville blog, the developer has lost interest in that location." "A Louisville blog?" I know you're only a Fox afflliate, but would citing the outlet that broke the stody (like WFPL did) have been that hard? [Fox41] (See, that's a link.)
