- "Buses have begun their early morning routes without any reports of major problems Tuesday morning, said Rick Caple, transportation director for Jefferson County Public Schools. Caple said there has been an occasional report of some students missing their bus or getting on the wrong bus and ending up at the wrong school, but he said that’s “normal” for the first day of school. Most buses also appear to be on time as of 7:30 a.m., but some may be running a few minutes late as drivers get accustomed to new routes on the first day. He said 910 school buses will be out on Jefferson County roads until about 10 a.m. with elementary school students being transported later this morning." [Courier-Journal]
