Are you an adult within the Louisville area who has always dreamed of learning more about horses? If so then the Louisville Equestrian Center (LEC) may have just the program tailored to you. EQuest is the new 6 week program that LEC is beginning on November 17 and runs for 6 weeks.
Participants will get a weekly 45 minute riding lesson and an hour of hands on horsemanship exploration. In-the-saddle skills to be explored in this experience are: Trail Challenge, Drill Team, Mounted Games. Included with the riding skills activities is a hands on Horsemanship Theory and Skills program.
What is included is six 45 minute riding lessons which include the in-the-saddle skills listed above taught by LEC instructor Meg Purdy and six one hour sessions of the hands on Horsemanship Theory and Equine Education taught by LEC founder Betsy Webb. Also included is the use of a certified riding helmet, EQuest Riding and Horsemanship Manual, use of a well trained lesson horse, and a certificate of completion on the last day.
Riders will be split into two groups according to skill level. Enrollment is limited.
