The Equine Rescue League of Southern Indiana (ERLSI) has several fundraisers underway to help with the cost of helping the horses under their care. Currently the ERLSI has 15 horses, one just had a foal, and five adoptable horses are available at the rescue.
Jet, pictured above, is a 16 hand Tennessee Walker gelding available for adoption.
The ERLSI is currently having its membership drive which costs $15 and is tax deductible as the rescue is a 501 (C) 3 Not-For-Profit Organization. The next membership meeting will be on Friday, June 15 at 6:30 pm. Call (502) 287-8272 to join or for more information on the location of the meeting.
The ERLSI will be at the Farmer’s Market located at Tractor Supply in Sellersburg, IN on Saturday, June 16 for their membership and donation drive, as well as selling “Horsin Around” pasta, and a few other varieties with fun shapes depicting IU, UK, U of L. Come out and support them.
On Tuesday, June 19, Rocky’s Restaurant on the river in Jeffersonville will have ERLSI day. Anytime during that day if you mention the ELRSI fundraiser to your server or bring an ERLSI flyer to Rockys that day the rescue will earn 20% of your total purchase, at no extra cost to you. Also on Tuesdays kids eat free and from 6-8 pm kids get free animal balloons. What a fun way for your family to help the horses at ERLSI.
ERLSI is selling fun shaped pasta as one of their fundraisers. To order call the rescue at (502) 287-8272 for an order form or go to the fundpastafundraising.com website and click on the upper right hand box and put in “equine” and “Indiana” and the rescue’s sale should come up. Pasta will be shipped directly to your door. There are many fun shaped pastas available.
Princess is a 10 year old cremello mare up for adoption.
