Personally, I am a little too excited about tonight's Dog Day at the Park at Louisville Slugger Field at 7:05pm. My three-year old Pug, Seamus, and nine-month old Boston Terrier, Quinn, are big baseball fans. Finally, they have an opportunity to go to a game!
The Louisville Bats, Louisville Veterinary Specialty & Emergency Services, and Your Community Bank are hosting the event to raise money for Kentucky Humane Society. There is a $3 donation per dog and tickets for humans are $6. You are escorted to the V.I.P. (Very Important Puppies) section and the first 500 dogs receive a special doggie bag. There will even be a dog agility course set up outside of the Witherspoon Plaza Gate. Quinn, is going to freak out with excitement...she's very agile.
What's the catch? Just make sure to keep your pooch on the leash at all times and you must sign a Dog Day Release Form before entering the park. A small price to pay for the puppies to finally be able to enjoy a game in person. Look for Seamus, Quinn, and I tonight as we have fun and support a great cause!
