So, you haven't had time to cook this year. Or maybe all your buckeyes burned, your peanut brittle blistered, and your peppermint bark cracked. Or maybe you're rummaging around, trying to find that perfect hostess gift for that fabulous Christmas party, and you can't seem to come up with anything original. Maybe your chocoholic boss has enough giant Hershey bars wrapped in ribbon at her desk to choke St. Nick himself. Do not worry my friends! I bring you: Ghyslain Chocolatiers.

Ghyslain is a gorgeous French bistro with two Louisville locations: at NuLu at 721 E. Market St. and in Westport Village, 1215 Herr Lane. Ghyslain has wonderful food, (their beet and goat cheese salad is a perfect combination of flavor, and their gelato is magnificent), but I am here to tell you about their chocolates. Oh, their beautiful chocolate medallions, with swirled colored candy over the top, and their ornate truffles are to die for--my personal favorite is the raspberry Chambord truffle, white chocolate ganache with raspberry Chambord extract and raspberry puree! Naturally you can handpick their chocolates and buy them by the box.

Ghyslain has some of the most gorgeous Christmas themed chocolates I have ever seen. You can get the adorable chocolate penguin (pictured) filled with almonds for only $9.00! You can get an absolutely sweet chocolate snowman, with little tiny candy snowmen inside, for $15.50! There are bunches of boxes of their amazing truffles and hand made chocolates wrapped up nicely, and I even saw a chocolate piano at the NuLu location! How perfect would that be for a piano playing niece or daughter? Make this Christmas the sweetest ever! Buy chocolates from Ghyslain!
