Tomorrow night Heavyweights in lyricism and guitar, not in stature mind you, Butch Rice and Peter Searcy square off for an evening to remember at the latest session of Zazoo’s ‘Vintage Showcase’.  Although it sounds as if it were some sort of ‘competition’, the two are actually close friends and are really stoked about the opportunity to play on the same bill.  Hunter Embry’s brainchild has brought together another stellar lineup with Searcy headlining, Rice opening, and both will be playing with their full bands!  The musicians are particularly enthused as Embry has really puts together lineups that cater to the musicians as well as the fans

All in attendance should be eagerly excited as both will be showcasing new songs with Rice’s latest Fall for Me and Searcy’s World War Me so the faithful followings of both are in for some real treats.  Rice, along with others such as yours truly, has been a fan of Searcy’s for ages and Peter doesn’t have a bad thing to say about Butch either.  While they are sonically similar it certainly bodes for a fun night like you would have seen at Tewligan’s in the past.  This night will be straight from the pages of local lore with heroes of their trade rocking out new material with their respective bands and many familiar faces in the crowd.  Certainly not to be missed…until then.
