We see you appreciate a good vintage. But there comes a time to try something new. Click here to head over to the redesigned Louisville.com. It's where you'll find all of our latest work. And plenty of the good ol' stuff, too, looking better than ever.
Agent Orange approaches classic punk with a surfer rock tinge. Joining them is Colorado band, In The Wale. They’re a group on the up and up. Better see them now for they “won’t be local for long.” This show has local support from another surf rock influenced band, The Get Down.
This is the show not to miss this week. Kurt Vile’s latest album “b’lieve i’m goin down…” is one of the best records of 2015. The singer-songwriter has a weird disconnected-connected vibe in his music that draws you in and keeps you present. We’ll see you there Louisville.
The Atlanta quintet, Muuy Biien, is fidgety and high energy, so if you’re into that, which you should be, then check this show out. Playing with them is local band Doctor Girlfriend. I caught their show last Saturday at Kaiju, it was sick.
Thursday (02/25)
Afroman Haymarket Whiskey Bar Yes, you read that right. Afroman at Haymarket? It’s true. I’m feeling nostalgic in more ways than one and I’m sure you are too. See you there because, well, you know how it goes.
Chew, stylized, as CHEW is really something to bite into and savor. The Atlanta trio’s sound is psych, prog, experimental, and general weird shit. Local support for this show is by the band of brothers, Powell.
Oh! It’s so good! Have you seen our Louisville Studio Sessions with Nellie Pearl? Another Louisville.com favorite, Frederick the Younger is playing. We’ll be there and so should you.
“I can’t drive 64” is the name of this show. Relatable. Aside from having a great name, there’s great music too. I always have fun when Tsunami Samurai plays. They’re a local surf rock group with a great name too.
More locals, but it’s not locals only. It’s okay to invite yourself. Black Birds of Paradise are one of my personal favorites. They’re fun to watch. Plus, that vibraphone has it going on.
