This year’s Brew at the Zoo and Wine too at the Louisville Zoo is sure to bring the ROAR out of everyone! Yes, even the Designated Drivers, as there will be much more than just brew. Doors open on Saturday, August 22 at 4 p.m., and the event runs till 9 p.m.

The live entertainment includes three bands. Relic and The Bacchanal Steel Band will play simultaneously from 5 – 7 p.m. on the MetaZoo Stage and near the Giraffe House, respectively. This, That & The Other are the headliners and will close out the show on the main stage in the Oasis Field from 7 – 9 p.m.

And let’s not forget the eats and drinks. Local restaurants will provide the eats. Don’t worry — you won’t be served up fried, roasted or barbecued giraffe or anything like that! But do make sure to go see the animals while you’re there, just don’t feed any of them, especially after midnight!

Local and regional breweries and wineries will supply the drinks. And, where the actual vendor list hasn’t been listed, you can expect to see the likes of Apocalypse Brew Works, Bluegrass Brewing Company, Cumberland Brewery, Country Boy Brewing, Flat12, NABC, Schlafly, Rivertown Brewing Company, Upland and West 6th. Now, that’s an impressive list, and it’s just the beginning!

The food tastings only run from 5 – 7 p.m., but you can expect the brew and wine to keep pouring out until much closer to 9 p.m.

A General Admission ticket gets you free food tasting from 5 – 7 p.m., a Brew at the Zoo and Wine Too tasting mug and twenty 2o.z. beer or wine samples, food samples, animal encounters and access to the live entertainment. There are, of course, VIP and Designated Driver ticket options, too.

Tickets for this year have already sold out. Sorry! Maybe your friend has an extra? But don’t fret too much — Brew at the Zoo is sure to return in 2016. Just make sure to not to monkey around when it comes to getting your tickets next year.
