    Bit to Do

Lindsey Younger Curry, born and raised in Fairdale, Kentucky, is the owner of Lele's Boutique. I met her when I ventured out to her shop last Wednesday. She is the sweetest boutique owner that I have ever been in contact with. She told me that Lele's is named after her boxer dog, and I have also read on her website that many people mistake her business for a dog grooming business. The shop has been open since July 2011, and it "specializes in personalized and unique gifts." Lele's is certainly full of personalized gifts that can be customized with monogramming and screen printing. There are items that would make perfect gifts for bridal and baby showers, birthdays, or graduation. There is also clothing for adults and children, duffle bags, backpacks, handmade jewelry, handmade soap, and so much more.

Lele's offers custom embroidery for backpacks, lunch boxes, nap rolls, towel wraps, and totes. There is an additional charge, of course, but these items would make great gifts and also feature a personalized add-on.

I think I fell in love with the jewelry because I could not take my eyes off of all the pieces scattered around the shop. There are earrings, necklaces, bracelets, rings, brooches, and watches in an assortment of colors.

This stand featured chocolate bourbon cupcakes with bourbon buttercream icing from Peyton's Bourbon Cupcakes. The bourbon that was used in this product was Knob Creek, and these ready-to-eat cupcakes are served in a small mason jar with a spoon attached so you can dig in as soon as possible. You can pick up Peyton's cupcakes at Lele's or you can order from Peyton's by email or phone. There is free local delivery and shipping available as well.

This tub contained a product from Delicious Bath & Body known as the tubbie. Lindsey told me that these were similar to the bath bombs from Lush Cosmetics. The tubbies come in a variety of scents, such as Poma Fruit, La La Lilac, Paradise Blossoms, Good Ol' Kentucky Rain, and much more. Additionally, the creators behind the tubbies are a mother and daughter team that started their line in 2009.

These products are from Making Good Scentz, a company that specializes in handmade soaps, lotion bars, and scrubs. Lindsey showed me a lotion bar, and I thought it was the most fascinating thing. I rolled it in my hands and it left them feeling extra soft. The bars come in a variety of scents, and they come in a small container with a lid. I think they would be perfect to place in a bag because lotion bottles tend to leak and make a big mess. I cannot begin to say how many times I have had to wipe off the contents of my purse because of a lotion explosion. The soaps and scrubs have several scents as well. I was drawn to the different fragrances and the design of the soaps because they are just so colorful. I use bar soap on my hands and face most of the time, so a soap that smells like a sweet treat is a must.

I just had to purchase a few things from Lele's Boutique. I bought the honeydew melon and raspberry tubbie, the chocolate bourbon cupcake with bourbon buttercream icing, the pomegranate and grapefruit tubbie, and a strawberry cheesecake soap. Lindsey placed all of my items into a pink and white chevron print bag with tissue paper, and I felt like I had just received a gift. She told me that she usually rotates patterns and prints for her bags and tissue paper, so I think it's safe to assume that every customer will always walk out with a present of their own. I had to dive into the cupcake as soon as I had the chance. It was the perfect blend of booze and chocolate, and I honestly felt like I was in cupcake heaven. I also have to mention that I used the pomegranate and grapefruit tubbie later in the evening. The fragrance filled up the bathroom and my skin was so smooth. I will just go ahead and say that I like the tubbies more than the bath bombs from Lush!

If you happen to be in the Fairdale area, check out Lele's Boutique and be sure to chat with Lindsey. You can follow along with Lele's Boutique on FacebookTwitter, and Instagram as well.
