Children, left to their own devices, are free, honest and not afraid of a little drama. Considering this, it’s surprising that all children do not grow up to be master thespians.
Yet, they do not.
Do you know a young person who still holds onto their dramatic roots? If yes, then StageOne has something just for them.
In partnership with Lincoln Performing Arts Elementary School, StageOne Family Theatre is offering its DramaWorks Summer Camps June 10-August 2. Offering both half and full day options for students aged 4-18, the summer camp teaches fundamentals of acting, body movement, voice and how to use the imagination in understanding themselves as well as the world around them.
The 17 creative camp offerings include: Happily Ever After: Knights and Princesses, Broadway Playground, Underwater Adventures and Superheroes, as well as Improvisation and Acting Techniques, The full day camps include Movie Magic, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Fame, Jr. and Technical Theatre Intensive, which is a new behind-the-scenes program with core classes in Stage Management, Costuming and Stage Craft.
All of the camps are taught by Stage One Family Theatre’s artists and educators.
So, if a child in your life has been inspired by hometown star Jennifer Lawrence’s recent Oscar win, check out StageOne’s drama program.
