I'm sure by now you've got everything laid out for Oaks and Derby, right? Ok, didn't think. Don't worry, I've only got one outfit picked out for the long month of festivities leading up to Oaks and Derby. So we're in the same boat. Luckily for all of us Macy's Spring Fashion Show as well as Runway For The Roses are here just in time to give us some much needed inspiration for picking out what to wear to the track this year.
Macy's Spring Fashion Show
Macy's Spring Fashion Show will be held on March 27th at Horseshoe Casino in Southern Indiana and will feature pieces from Macy's and Dillards as well as local boutiques like Apricot Lane Boutique, Boutique Serendipity, Collections Boutique, Crush Boutique, Dress & Dwell, Olivia & Co. Boutique, Pink Julep Boutique, Rodeo Drive, Sunny Daize, The Tangerine Closet, Cargo, and Caden. Unfortunately at time of publication all tickets were sold, so be sure to keep an eye out for articles and images of the show if you've not already purchased tickets.
Runway For The Roses
On Wednesday, April 2, Dillard’s—the official hat provider of the Kentucky Derby Festival—presents Runway for the Roses at the Mellwood Arts & Entertainment Center, Ballroom #3.
In collaboration with Gunnar Deatherage and Nfocus Magazine, Dillard’s Runway for the Roses is a theatrical fashion event that creatively stages Derby season’s hottest fashions in the midst of a festive social scene.“We are going to take a theatrical and introspective look at the phenomenon we call Derby,” says Nfocus Fashion Editor Gunnar Deatherage. “Last year, we did a hybrid event with film. This year, the genre is theater. Like last year, you can expect some amazing live music. As for all other aspects, expect the unexpected.”N'Focus and Dillard's Lousville. Tickets are still available for this event, here.
