Last night guests at a packed Prime Lounge—including those pictured in the following slideshow—donated more than $2,800 to the Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund
. The premise is simple: the jockeys poured Woodford Reserve drinks to the crowd and donated all the tips to the fund.
The Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund provides a financial assistance to more than 60 former jockeys who suffered catastrophic on-track injuries. Since its founding in 2006, the fund has disbursed more than $2.5 million.
Jockey bartenders included Julien Leparoux (at top), Jon Court, Robby Albarado, Rajiv Maragh, James Graham and John Velazquez.
J Wagner Group, Three Chimneys Farm and 102.3 The Max also sponsored the event.
