During the Derby season, it’s easy to talk a lot about the horses. But horse racing wouldn't be possible if it weren't for the amazing jockeys who ride these incredible horses to victory! Jocktails is one of my favorite Derby week events because it’s one of the few chances we get to meet the jockeys when they aren't on a horse! Wednesday night brought together some of the best of the horse racing community and all to raise money for the Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund (PDJF).
Jocktails is put on every year by event champion Joey Wagner and his sponsors this year included Sun Tan City, Planet Fitness, Maker's Mark, DerbyVIP.com, Courier-Journal, BoxCarPR, Red Bull, Yum Brands Foundation, Stella Artois, Bet America, & Fandaction. One hundred percent of the ticket proceeds went to support the PDJF too, so everyone walked away with having done something for a great cause along with having had a great time!
