At Zazoos this past weekend I had the privilege of witnessing Huh Robots perform. One of the first things I like to look for when observing live performances is how an artist or group of musicians transform an ordinary atmosphere into something spectacular.Up and coming musicians are forced to juggle the rush of loading and unloading equipment in between act changes day in and day out.But as Huh Robot took a deep breath after their final sound check, the earthy sound of their mountainous aroma proved captivating. The Louisville local three piece consist of Rosella Pearl, on guitar and vocals, Adam Copelin, on bass guitar, and Kelly Newton, on lead guitar. Pearl's vocal style along with the group's rhythmic diversity is comparable to that of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. While they don't have any performances posted at this time, songs such as "Come Again" and "Appalachian Gold" can be heard on their self published album "Heads or Tails" for sale via http://www.huhrobots.webs.com
