    Here’s a quick look at how Louisville natives and University of Louisville products did in Week 8 of the NFL season.

    Louisville natives

    Corey Peters (Atlanta): The fifth-year defensive tackle, a Central High School graduate and former University of Kentucky standout, tallied one tackle in the Falcons’ 22-21 loss to Detroit in London.

    C.J. Spillman (Dallas): The sixth-year defensive back, a Central grad and former Marshall University standout, played but didn’t register a tackle in the Cowboys’ 20-17 overtime loss to Washington on Monday night.

    Former UofL players

    Gary Barnidge (Cleveland): The tight end, who is in his seventh season, played but didn’t have a catch in the Browns’ 23-13 win over Oakland.

    Teddy Bridgewater (Minnesota): The rookie quarterback completed 24 of 42 passes for 241 yards and one touchdown in the Vikings’ 19-13 overtime win at Tampa Bay.

    Preston Brown (Buffalo): The rookie inside linebacker tallied nine tackles and had one interception (in the above photo) in his second straight start, a 43-23 victory over the Jets on Sunday, a day before his 22nd birthday. Brown has 60 tackles this season.

    Harry Douglas (Atlanta): The wide receiver, who is in his sixth season, had three catches for 42 yards - in his return after missing the previous four games due to a foot injury - in the Falcons’ last-second loss to Detroit in London.

    Elvis Dumervil (Baltimore): The outside linebacker, who is in his ninth season, tallied one tackle off the bench for the Ravens in their 27-24 loss at Cincinnati.

    William Gay (Pittsburgh): The cornerback, who is in his eighth season, tallied a team-high eight tackles and one interception, which he returned 33 yards for a touchdown, in the Steelers’ surprising 51-34 win over visiting Indianapolis.  

    Breno Giacomini (New York Jets): The seventh-year tackle started for the Jets in their 43-23 loss to Buffalo.

    Senorise Perry (Chicago): The rookie running back played, but didn’t register a carry in the Bears’ 51-23 loss at New England.

    Bilal Powell (New York Jets): The fourth-year running back had four carries for 28 yards (an average of 7 yards per carry) and a touchdown - his first of the season - in the Jets’ 43-23 loss to visiting Buffalo.

    Calvin Pryor (New York Jets): The rookie free safety tallied two tackles for the Jets in their 43-23 loss to visiting Buffalo.

    Greg Scruggs (Seattle): The third-year defensive end tallied a tackle - his first of the season - in the Seahawks’ 13-9 victory at Carolina.

    Marcus Smith (Philadelphia): The rookie linebacker didn’t play in the Eagles’ 24-20 loss at Arizona.

    Byron Stingily (Tennessee): The fourth-year offensive tackle made his first start of the season in the Titans’ 30-16 loss to visiting Houston.

    Eric Wood (Buffalo): Wood, in his sixth year in the league, started at center - his 71st consecutive start - for the Bills in their 43-23 victory over the Jets.
