The latest installment of the Hear + Now Music Series, which is in conjunction with the 2010 Alltech Nortnight Festival, will take place at the Atrium Gallery of 21C Oct. 7.

The series is designed to showcase the talents of up-and-coming regional composers. Tonight's event will mark the world premiere of Jeremy Beck's String Quartet #5 and will be performed by the Dakappo string quartet.

Pieces by Beck and Paul Groh will be performed by viola soloist, Deborah Lander, while Wayne Krigger will perform an Andy McElroy piece written for a solo cello. Other performances include a cappella works by Bellarmine University's, Richard Buchard and another string quartet premier by saxaphonist, Jacob Duncan.

Tickets to this event are $12, doors open at 7:30 pm. 21C is located at 1700 W. Main St.
