This morning I found Jack in the bathroom proudly showing off the entire roll of toilet paper he had unraveled and shoved into the toilet. Part of me wanted to laugh (because it was funny), but I took it as an opportunity to have a discussion with my 14-month-old about conserving resources for the environment.  Needless to say, I'm still not sure he's on board.

Do you also wanted to show your kids how to live a greener life? Well, pile the kids in your hybrid car (or not) and take advantage of Tom Sawyer State Park's celebration of Earth Day this Thursday, April 22nd from 4 pm to 8 pm.

Meet in Tom Sawyer's Activities Building Gymnasium and check out different booths from area businesses, crafts, geocoaching demonstrations, nature knowledge and nature hikes.  The event is free, just come prepared to learn about how to live greener and take care of the environment.  Perhaps they'll talk about not wasting toilet paper....?
