Lacrosse isn’t just a city in Wisconsin; it’s quickly gaining popularity all across the nation. There’s even an NCAA Division I men’s team right here in Kentucky, at Bellarmine University. Want to understand the rules, player positions and basic strategy to better enjoy it—or start watching altogether?

On Thursday, February 2, new coach Kevin Burns will host “Lacrosse 101,” where he will give you the basics and even a chance to try it for yourself. Check out player equipment up close, ask questions and even get a ticket to a game.

In addition to the workshop, there will be free hot dogs, chili and drinks. Each participant will receive one free ticket to the team's home opener against Robert Morris University on Saturday, February 11 at 1 p.m.

The workshop begins at 5:30, and advance reservations are recommended. To reserve your spot or get more information, contact Angela Rone at 272-8100 or arone@bellarmine.edu.
