Future stars: 2012 Louisville recruiting scoop! [sports]

Here are two recruits that will be playing D-1 hoops next year:

    • Moore High School senior Mekale McKay is ambitiously trying his hands (and feet) at two sports at division one level. Mckay has decided to pursue football and basketball at the University of Arkansas. The 6’5” small forward previously committed to play both sports at the University of Texas at El Paso but had a change of heart last month. Mckay will play wide receiver under former University of Louisville coach Bobby Petrino and will walk-on for the basketball team. Mekale had 13 touchdowns and 38 catches this season in football and averaged 17 points and 6 rebounds in basketball.
    • State champion Charles Foster of the Trinity Shamrocks will take his talents to Morehead State this fall. The 6-1 point guard will take his smooth stroke and intense defense to play under head coach Donnie Tyndall. There is a great chance Charles can play immediately and fill the void of Ty Profit who graduated. Morehead usually plays three guards and an up-tempo offense that Foster is already accustomed to.

    About Jameson Bennett

Born and raised in west Louisville, I am a mass media/advertising professional and proud University of Louisville and Morehead State University Alum. Having traveled over 20 states and overseas in my 24 years of living, I try but continue to struggle to find a town that can come close to the beauty, uniqueness and diversity found in Derby city. Louisville high school athletics and Cards Basketball consume me!
