While most high schoolers were reveling in the final stretch of summer, members of Floyd Central’s theatre were embarking on a two-week adventure across the pond, culminating in the presentation of their original production, E.A. Poe…Into the Mind of Madness, at the International Fringe Festival in Scotland.

The production is the result of a collaboration between Chris Bundy, FC's director of Theatre Arts, and Jason Roseberry, a playwright and former FC Student.

After being nominated, Floyd Central Theatre went through a lengthy application process, resulting in their invitation to perform.  They were the only school in Indiana selected for the honor.

Now, the students are back in the States, and will present their production to the local community.

Performances run August 26 and 27 at the Floyd Central auditorium. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for students and can be purchased by calling 812-542-2284.

This production is not recommended for children under twelve, due to the dark and unsettling nature of Edgar Allen Poe’s stories.
