Trickery, deception, and a love story come to light in The Fantasticks, a classic musical that opens tonight at The Drama Studio.

The Fantasticks will go on July 24, 25, and 26 at 7:30 p.m. each night. A matinee will go on July 27 at 2 p.m. All shows will take place inside the St. Genesius Theatre at the Southern Indiana School for the Arts, located at 128 East Bell Ave. in Clarksville, IN.

Tickets for each show are $14 for adults and seniors, $10 for students and children. All tickets can be purchased by calling 812-283-7472 ext. 1 or reserved at The Drama Studio website.

Two fathers set up their children as lovers, though the children don't know that, in the musical The Fantasticks. The fathers pretend to feud then stage a mock abduction with a group of traveling actors. The children end up falling for each other. If the ruse is discovered, however, relationships could be seriously strained.

Tom Jones created the lyrics and Harvey Schmidt created the music for The Fantasticks, which Debbie Endris directed and choreographed. Dan Endris provided musical direction.

More information on the show can be found at The Drama Studio website.
