Faith is tested in Depression-era Indiana during the production of The Diviners, which will be presented at Central Christian Church this weekend.

All performances of The Diviners will take place at Central Christian Church, located at 1315 East Spring Street in New Albany, IN. Performances will take place on Oct. 28, 29, and 30 at 7:30 p.m. each night. A matinee performance will occur on Oct. 31 at 3 p.m.

The Diviners is free of charge. More information on the show and C3 Performing Arts Ministry can be found at the group's website.

The Jim Leonard, Jr.-created Diviners is based in Great Depression-era Indiana. C.C. Showers, a former preacher who is jaded and without a job, befriends a handicapped, disturbed child named Buddy Layman. Unfortunately, Showers finds himself becoming more disillusioned after the child accidentally drowns.

Following Diviners, the C3 Performing Arts Ministry will present The Secret Garden. Auditions for the show will be in February.
